Japan, Early May 2023Heavy rainfall impacted Japan from 07 May 2023. Public broadcaster NHK reported 10 buildings were damaged by floods in Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture after an embankment on the Tenjin River broke. Evacuation orders were issued to a total of 73 households due to the risk of landslides. Evacuation orders were also issued for 71 people in Okaya City, Nagano Prefecture, and 1,267 people in Sakashita and Yamaguchi districts of Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, where the Kiso River exceeded the flooding danger level.Mon 8 May 2023FloodList provided by Copernicus GLOFAS
