  • Heavy rainfall is still affecting most of the country, particularly La Paz and Pando Departments, north-western Bolivia since November 2023, resulting in widespread floods and severe weather-related incidents.
  • According to the Bolivia Ministry of Defense (MINDEF), 43 people died, two are still missing, and 5,542 people have been evacuated. In addition, more than 35,000 people have been affected, 842 houses damaged and almost 500 destroyed. 
  • A municipal disaster has been declared for 18 municipalities and a municipal emergency has been in effect for 10 other municipalities in the country.
  • For the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast over most of the country, particularly across the central Departments.
